But, before we begin I want you to educate a bit about the windows sleep mode feature.
(you can scroll below to jump directly to the fix though)
What is Windows sleep mode and how does it work?
Have you noticed that when you don’t use your smartphone for more than 30 seconds or a minute, your phone’s screen automatically turns off, but when you again open your phone all your apps and processes are still open just like they were earlier?
Sleep mode is a feature exactly like that in windows, sleep mode helps you save power when it’s not being used.
According to Microsoft:
Sleep mode uses very little power, your PC starts up faster, and you’re instantly back to where you left off. You don’t have to worry that you’ll lose your work because of your battery draining, because Windows automatically saves all your work and turns off the PC if the battery is too low. Use sleep when you’re going to be away from your PC for just a little while—like when you’re taking a coffee break.
For a lot of PCs (especially laptops and tablets), your PC goes to sleep when you close your lid or press the power button.
Isn’t this an amazing feature?
Although it’s an amazing feature, many windows users are facing a problem where when they put their pc or laptop into sleep mode and then wake them up, it asks for the password.
